In 2025, Sisi Film Lab carried out film trainings in Arua, Gulu, Mbale, Kabale and Kampala. The trainings went well in all the districts. The students showed up, some were new to film while others knew something about film, but everyone came ready to learn.
After the training, some students from all the training districts came to Kampala for internship. For some of them, it was their first time leaving home for film work and their first time being on a proper set.
They interned on the Tv series Tatu Taps on Love. They learned how the set actually works, long hours, teamwork, pressure and responsibility. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. They assisted in different departments and learned by doing, not just watching.
The Kampala students trained and worked alongside them, and everyone learned from each other. Different districts, different backgrounds, different people, on one set.
This training was about giving people a chance to try, to make mistakes and see what film work really looks like. It reminded us that talent is everywhere, not just in the city.
These photos are moments from the trainings and the internship holding memories from the 2025 Sisi Film Lab training.

Looking back, this training mattered. Not because it was perfect, but because the student showed up and stayed. They tried things they had never done before, but they kept going.
For those who came to Kampala, the internship was a lot. They learned that film work is not just talent but also discipline and patience. It was amazing seeing students from different districts working side by side.
We’re grateful for everyone who trusted the process and gave their time and energy to the 2025 Sisi Film Lab Training. Thank you.
