Ocakacon Raymond is an award-winning film maker based in Gulu city Uganda. He started his film career in 2011 as a script writer trained by Maisha film lab until 2015. As a passionate film maker, he upgraded his skills in film directing and editing from Mobile film school in 2018 and 2019 where he Obtained a certificate in Media and film production.

He studied 12 weeks editing course with ABC in 2021 sponsored by UCC and obtained a certificate of merit. Besides that, he also continued with education another 12 weeks of studying film with culture in film with Media Vision academy sponsored by UNESCO. Since then, he has edited films like Goro wic Village, a feature film directed by himself. Sorrow of the blind, a half hour film produced in 2018.

Because of the hard work and quality of his work he was invited to be an Editor to a Tv series THE KOJJA. In 2023 he edited two short films produced by Immaculate films titled THE CLAN LAW and FREED. He also did Audio recording of a Radio drama, Nyim cek.

In 2023 he participated in producing and directing of a Tv series of 13 episodes titled STORM ON THE FLOOR. He also wrote 5 episodes of the same series and edited it. He also participated in the editing Tv series for DSTV in 2024. Hotel Mara and Senkyu boss which aired on Pearl magic. He further edited a feature film, AT THE VERGE.

He worked on Cue sheets of 330 episodes of Beloved TV series. In 2024 he worked on his short film Lakwed which is available on YouTube. His film HUNGER IN AFRICA got nominated for the students world impact film festival and emerged as the BEST SEMI FINALIST. Lakwed was nominated under BEST SOUND, BEST SHORT FILM, BEST SCREEN PLAY, BEST ACTOR In the Northern Uganda Film Award in 2025.
Currently he is the Executive Director of Creative Hub where they train film makers the art of filmmaking.
